KOKOMO, Ind. -- A Kokomo man suspected of dealing methamphetamine was arrested Thursday after leading officers on a short pursuit, police said.Detectives were looking for Archie Robertson, 35, after they said he had threatened to harm any officer who tried to take him down, 6News' Jennifer Carmack reported. An officer said he spotted Robertson Thursday morning and tried to pull him over, but that Robertson rammed the squad car, prompting the officer to fire several shots, before taking off.
When Robertson finally stopped, he still wouldn't cooperate with officers, police said."He had to be physically taken down at the scene," said Kokomo police Lt. Don Whitehead. "He was actually being held at gunpoint by another officer and refused to cooperate with his commands, so another officer came up from behind and was able to take him into custody."No one was inured.Officers said they found drugs and a loaded handgun in Robertson's truck. He was being held Thursday night at the Howard County Jail on a list of charges, including several outstanding felony drug warrants for both Howard and Tipton counties.
