An 18-year-old high school student has been charged in a violent home-invasion robbery from last week.

Robert Coleman was arrested Tuesday at Arlington High School, and charged Thursday with robbery, burglary, confinement and pointing a firearm, said Sgt. Paul Thompson.

Investigators said Coleman admitted that he and another man burst into a home in the 6100 block of East 21st Street early Friday, stealing cash and a television.

Resident Morgan Adams told police that two men, one armed with a shotgun and the other with a handgun, pistol-whipped him and then used duct tape to tie him.

A 14-year-old and 6-month-old also in the home at the time were unharmed, and one of the men even heated a bottle in the microwave to give to the baby, police said.

Thompson said that police were still searching for the second man.
