Teens Accused In Clerk's Killing Both Served Time
Charges Expected To Be Filed Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS -- Charges were expected to be filed on Wednesday against two 19-year-olds accused in the shooting death of an Indianapolis convenience store clerk over the weekend.Bruce Aldrich and Shawn Heyob were arrested Monday, two days after Becky Hough, 62, was fatally shot at the Village Pantry at 1402 S. Both teens have criminal pasts, 6News' Renee Jameson reported.Aldrich was released from prison in August after serving time for carrying a firearm within one mile of school property. He was also convicted of criminal recklessness.Heyob was released from prison Thursday after serving time for theft, battery and criminal gang activity.In pictures posted on Heyob's Myspace.com and Facebook.com pages, he is seen holding guns, pointing them at other people and flashing gang signs."It's killing our family," Heyob's great aunt, Delena Pierce, told Thomas. "We just pray to God it isn't true, but it doesn't look good. It just doesn't look good."Some neighbors said Aldrich and Heyob, who both live in the area, have long-standing reputations as troublemakers. Police said they stole two bags of cigarettes in the robbery."Yeah, that was kind of stupid. I mean, she would have just gave them to them," said neighbor John Wethington. "I think they were just afraid that she knew who they were."Police have not yet indicated who they believe pulled the trigger.Hough had worked at the store for 23 years and was well known in the community. Police said the Village Pantry had been robbed 28 times since 2000.
