Police: Woman Struck By Pickup Truck

An 83-year-old woman who was struck as she crossed a street in Noblesville Friday has died.

Patricia A. Kneip was struck by a pickup truck as she tried to cross Conner Street just before 11:30 a.m., said Lt. Bruce Barnes of the Noblesville Police Department.

Kneip was taken to Riverview Hospital and later flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where she died just after 2:30 p.m., Barnes said.

The driver of the pickup truck -- Fred Granger Jr., 39, of Fishers -- was not injured.

Police did not indicate if any charges would be filed.
