Police: Reserve Deputy Traded Cash, Smokes For Sex

Man Also Works As Dispatcher

POSTED: 2:56 pm EST December 8, 2009

A Monroe County sheriff's reserve deputy gave a 19-year-old woman $5 and a pack of cigarettes in exchange for oral sex, Bloomington police said.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Eric Mayo, 30, told the woman, who wanted to be a model, that he would take pictures for her.

In a July meeting, Mayo drove the woman to a parking lot, talked to her about posing nude for him and talked her into the cash and cigarettes for sex deal, police said.

Mayo works as a dispatcher for the Indiana University Police Department and has been a reserve deputy for more than two years, according to sheriff's officials.

Mayo has not yet been charged in the case, but has been subpoenaed for a Jan. 6 court appearance.
