Witness: Woman Missed Curve, Hit Curb, Then Building

INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman was killed late Thursday after she lost control of her car and struck a building, police said.The crash happened just after 10:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Madison Avenue at a business called Flying W Awards, said Sgt. Matthew Mount.Images: Woman Killed When Car Strikes BuildingA witness said she saw the woman's car weaving and crossing the center line before the driver, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, missed the curve at Madison and Southern avenues, jumped the curb, went airborne and hit the building.The vehicle then struck a light pole and came to rest in the parking lot.The woman, Rachel Deutsch, 24, who was thrown from the car, was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
