Victim Enters Girlfriend 's Home To Tell Her, Collapses

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was fatally shot outside his home on Indianapolis' south side early Tuesday morning.Indianapolis police said the shooting happened at about 2:45 a.m. in the 2900 block of Percheron Lane, near Interstate 65.A woman told police that her boyfriend -- Dewayne Garth, 30 -- had been outside when she heard a shot fired. Garth then came inside the home, told her he had been shot and then collapsed.When paramedics arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene.Investigators asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
