INDIANAPOLIS -- Sen. Evan Bayh was in Afghanistan Sunday to visit with some Indiana soldiers.

Bayh was among six senators who met with soldiers stationed at Bagram Air Field.

The senators shared lunch with the soldiers and answered questions regarding ongoing operations in the country, according to a military news release.

The Indiana soldiers who met with Bayh are assigned to Task Force Cyclone, HHC 38th Infantry Division and Combined Joint Task Force - 82 Civil Affairs.
