Shelter Fundraiser Keeps Pledge, Gets Tattoo
Woman's Unconventional Efforts Call Attention To Shelter

ANDERSON, Ind. -- A Madison County woman who promised to get a tattoo if more than $10,000 was raised to benefit the Humane Society where she works has kept her promise.Rhonda Estes is sporting a tattoo with the Madison County Humane Society's logo on it after donations to the Anderson shelter topped $31,000.Estes works as an adoption coordinator at the shelter and has twice lived there for 30 days to raise money to help the animals.She raised $23,000 in the spring of 2008 before her latest stint in December.Estes first began her unconventional efforts when the shelter was in danger of closing because of financial difficulty.
