BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A 19-year-old Indiana University student was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual assault on campus.

A female student was found partially clothed with bruises on her body on the north side of Foster McGee quad at 1000 N. Fee Lane just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday, said IU Police Lt. Craig Munroe.

She told officers that she believed she had been sexually assaulted, but said she didn't know where it happened or the identity of her attacker.

A person of interest in the case -- Hai Yu, 19 -- was detained by police at Indianapolis International Airport on Friday afternoon. He was later arrested by campus police on a charge of criminal confinement.

Yu was being transported back to the Monroe County Jail Friday afternoon.
