An autopsy is set for Monday after a partially decomposed body was found in a wooded area of Vigo County.

Indiana State Police said the body was found Sunday near the 11000 block of Grotto Avenue, near the Clay County line.

The clothed body was found less than two miles north of U.S. 40.

Detectives did not immediately release additional information about the age, gender or cause of death, but said the clothing matched that described in a missing person's case.

The Terre Haute Tribune Star reported that the body is suspected to be that of Charles Raymond Chumley, 30, who was last seen in the area on Dec. 8. His wife reported him missing two days later.

Chumley's wife said she had been with her husband when he left her in the vehicle in a driveway and walked into a wooded area nearby, telling her that he would return in 15 minutes.

The driveway leads to a home owned by Chumley's parents.
