TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- A body found over the weekend in a wooded area of Vigo County, near the Clay County line, was identified as that of a missing man.The body of Charles Raymond Chumley Jr., 30, of Brazil, Ind., was identified using dental records on Tuesday. The partially decomposed body was found Sunday near the 11000 block of Grotto Avenue, less than two miles north of U.S. 40.It had been widely speculated that the body could be that of Chumley, who was last seen about a mile away on Dec. 8, 2009. His wife reported him missing two days later.Chumley's wife said she had been with her husband when he left her in the vehicle in a driveway and walked into a wooded area nearby, telling her that he would return in 15 minutes.Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play. The results of toxicology tests could take up to two weeks.
