Police Search For Serial Robber

Man Suspected In At Least 3 Hold-Ups

Indianapolis police are searching for a man suspected of holding up three east side businesses within 24 hours.

Sgt. Paul Thompson said the man was caught on surveillance video robbing the Village Pantry at 2801 E. New York St., the Speedway gas station at 7339 Pendleton Pike and the Speedway gas station at 3005 E. 10th St.

He may also have robbed one of the businesses more than once, and implied during two of the hold-ups that he had a weapon.

In each robbery the man took cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets, Thompson said.

The man was described by police as black, between 35 and 45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and between 180 and 200 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
