Martinsville Schools Leader Drove While Drunk, Sheriff's Office Says

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- The superintendent Martinsville Schools was arrested early Sunday morning on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.The Morgan County Sheriff's Department said Ron Furniss was pulled over at about 12:30 a.m. on Blue Bluff Road.Officials said a field sobriety test was administered and that Furniss failed that test.Furniss' blood-alcohol level was 0.16 in a subsequent test, sheriff's officials said, twice the legal limit.Furniss was released on bond later Sunday morning.
