Campfire Blamed In Indiana Blaze
Southern Indiana Fire Consumes 100 Acres

SPARKSVILLE, Ind. -- Firefighters believe an unattended campfire was the source of a blaze the burned as much as 100 acres in a rugged, wooded area of southern Indiana over the weekend.Carr Township Fire Chief Steve Ingle said crews needed nearly four hours to extinguish the blaze near the southern Jackson County community of Sparksville, southwest of Seymour.The fire was reported Saturday afternoon.Weather conditions had been relatively dry for several days before the fire.
