Indiana Gas Prices Continue To Rise
Hoosiers Paying More Than National Average

INDIANAPOLIS -- The price of gasoline continues to increase
in Indiana.
The Hoosier Motor Club reports that the average price of a
gallon of regular unleaded Wednesday was nearly $1.53, up more than 1 cent from Tuesday.
One month ago, the average price was just under $1.43, and one year ago, the average price was about a $1.31.
Gasoline prices in Indiana are just slightly below the national
average, which is just over $1.53 a gallon.
Gary had the state's highest prices, at $1.55 a
gallon. Prices in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne were only about a
penny less.
The lowest average price in Indiana was in Evansville, where a
gallon is a little over a $1.46.
