Police Arrest EMT Accused Of Assaulting Woman
Warrant Issued For Terre Haute Man Last Week

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- An EMT accused of inappropriately touching a woman in an ambulance has been arrested after eluding police for nearly a week.Jason Jordan, 27, of Terre Haute, turned himself in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department Thursday afternoon on charges of sexual battery and theft.A 26-year-old woman told police she was alone with Jordan in the back of a Trans Care ambulance on July 12 when he touched her inappropriately and then forwarded several personal photos from her cell phone without her consent.A warrant was issued for Jordan's arrest on July 23, but police said they believed he had left the state.Authorities did not release information on Thursday about his whereabouts during that time.Jordan was being held at the Putnam County Jail without bond Thursday evening.Calls to Trans Care about Jordan's employment status were not returned last week.
