Police: Surveillance Video Shows Robber In Action

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are looking for a man who stole a cart that contained at least one bag of money from a Sam's Club store on Indianapolis' west side.The robbery happened just after 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 5800 block of Rockville Road, Indianapolis police said.A witness told police that the robber came into the store and raised a handgun, announcing the robbery before grabbing a small metal cart that contained a wooden box with money bags inside.According to a police report, two witnesses saw the man leave the store in a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix, possibly a late '90s model.An employee told police that she had dropped a money bag into the cart just moments before the robber took off with it.Police reviewed a surveillance tape, which showed a black man about 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 180 pounds armed with a handgun."He was thin, wearing a gray T-shirt with dark pants and a white T-shirt that was pulled up, covering the lower portion of his face," part of the police report read.The tape also showed that the man was wearing white sunglasses and a black hat. Police didn't immediately release images from the video.According to the police report, the video also showed the man pulling up to the store and taking the cart."He grabbed the cart … and put the entire cart into the passenger side of his vehicle," the report read.The store wasn't immediately sure how much money had been stolen. No one was injured.
