A man was killed Monday night in a crash that also involved a 16-year-old driver, police said.

The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of county roads 750 West and 500 South in Howard County.

Witnesses told the Howard County Sheriff's Department that the driver of a westbound car, later identified as Gentry Jordan, 16, of Frankfort, failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a car driven by Matthew Kuntz, 30, of Kokomo.

Kuntz was taken by medical helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he later died. Jordan was treated at the scene.

"The investigation continues into the circumstances of this accident," said Sheriff Steve Rogers.
