Indiana businesses hoped to gain exposure during the Super Bowl Celebration at the Local Underground tent in Super Bowl Village that featured food and merchandise from Hoosier companies.

Sun King Brewery was one of the companies featured at the tent and owner Staraya McKinstry said it was a once in a lifetime chance to expose the business to thousands of new customers.

"I think it'll just show off what Indiana has to offer and that we've actually got some great, young entrepreneurs,” McKinstry said.

Local design firm Lodge Design created an app for Sun King Brewery that shows every location that serves the Indianapolis-brewed beer, RTV6's Tanya Spencer reported.

"Well it's very exciting for us and our clients because there are lots of new people in town,” designer Union Williams said. "People can look you up online weeks later and you might have a business contact there."

J.J. Boston started a mobile restaurant, Big Green Bistro, seven months ago that uses homegrown Indiana ingredients.

"If we're able to make a little bit of money and get some exposure at the same time, that's great,” he said.

Boston said he also hopes to attract regional business that will take him outside of Indiana.

Brenda Schultz owns the Naked Monkey and said she hopes to lure locals to her spas in Carmel and Fishers.

"I don't know that it's necessarily going to be a huge moneymaker for us, but just so someone else will go, 'Oh yeah, I know the Naked Monkey,’” Schultz said.

Members of Stereo Deluxe, one of the local bands featured, said they hope the event would drum-up more bookings.

"Hopefully we'll maybe get some extra bookings. But, you know, you try to earn fans every time you play,” band member Jay Elliot said.

Local business owners and entertainers will be featured at the Local Underground tent in the Super Bowl village everyday through Super Bowl Sunday.
