Police said a woman walked into the Red Barn store around 2:00 a.m. Monday and poured a cup of coffee.

She paid for it so the clerk would open the drawer. When he did, she threw the hot coffee in his face and grabbed money from the register.

The suspect got away in a green van with a prefix of 80 on her license plate, which represents Tipton County.

Police believe she may have also checked out other stores to rob that morning, but got scared away.

Authorities said she had gotten a cup of coffee at another store, but other customers were there at the time.

Police said the woman has some type of green and red tattoo on the back of her neck.

If you recognize her or have any information about the robbery, you are asked to call the Kokomo Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (800) 92-ALERT.
