Caseworker Charged With Having Sexual Contact With 2nd Boy

Man Also Faces New Charges Relating To First Accuser

POSTED: 8:11 pm EDT June 7, 2005

A child protective services investigator accused of child molestation faces new charges, including allegations that he had sexual contact with a second boy.

Cory Heinzman

Cory Heinzman, who was arrested in May on accusations that he molested an autistic teenage boy, was charged Tuesday with engaging in sexual activity with a different teenager.

Heinzman, 36, of Arcadia, also was charged Tuesday with additional counts -- including child molestation and official misconduct -- relating to the first case.

Authorities say Heinzman allowed the first accuser -- who had been part of his caseload -- to spend nights in his Hamilton County home. Heinzman is accused of molesting the boy while they allegedly slept in the same bed.

The molestation in the first case allegedly happened between August and March, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors say Heinzman is accused of having sexual contact with the second boy in November and December. That boy came forward with his allegations after the first investigation started, the Hamilton County prosecutor's office said.

Twenty-one counts were filed against Heinzman on Tuesday. Four -- two Class D felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and two Class A misdemeanor counts of official misconduct -- relate to the second boy's allegations.

The rest relate to the first accuser. They are four Class A felony counts of child molestation; a Class B felony of sexual misconduct with a minor; a Class C felony count of corrupt business influence; three Class D felony counts of performance by a minor that is harmful to minors; and eight Class A misdemeanor counts of official misconduct.

In May, Heinzman was charged with multiple counts of child molestation and official misconduct relating to the first accuser.

Heinzman was released from jail on $120,000 bond in May. In light of this month's charges, the prosecutor's office filed a court motion requesting that his bond be reviewed.
