CAMBY, Ind. -- What officials thought at first was a drowning death in Morgan County has now been ruled a vicious attack by four dogs.

Boyd Fiscus, 83, of Camby, was found in a pond at his house just before 8 p.m. Friday.

Police said they believe the dogs, which belonged to a neighbor, attacked Fiscus while he was on his back porch. They believe Fiscus went to a pond to try to escape.

Authorities said the dogs may have been involved in several other attacks. The animals will be destroyed at the owner's request.

No charges have been filed in the case.
