Two Charged In Fatal Dog Mauling Case

POSTED: 11:16 am EDT July 13, 2005

The Morgan County Prosecutor has filed criminal charges against a husband and wife for the dog mauling that killed Boyd Fiscus July 1.

Andy Warren is charged with failure to restrain dogs resulting in death and false informing. Police said the false informing charge was included because Warren allegedly did not tell authorities about a previous attack involving the dogs and a young girl.

Anita Warren is also charged with failure to restrain dogs resulting in death.

If convicted, Andy Warren could face up to eight years in prison while Anita Warren could get up to a four year sentence.

Police said the charges against Andy Warren are more serious because he's accused of knowingly not restraining the dogs, while Anita Warren is accused of recklessly not restraining the animals.

Both were arrested Tuesday night and were released on bond. The Warrens are back in court for an initial hearing July 29.
