Police believe that whoever fatally shot a teenager over an egg-throwing prank can be heard in the background of a 911 call made by someone else, RTV6's Jeremy Brilliant reported Wednesday.

Authorities believe a man fatally shot Brandon Dunson, 15, and shot and wounded a 17-year-old male Sunday night in the 7400 block of Rockville Road after a group of teens hit the man's moving truck with eggs. No arrests have been made.

A woman called 911 that night to say people had egged her vehicle. Sheriff's investigators believe that while the woman was talking to a dispatcher, the man police believe is the shooter asked her where the egg-throwers were.

The following is a transcript of part of that call:

Caller: "They just egged and tomatoed my vehicle."

Man (heard in background): "Where they at?"

      Caller: "Right over there."

Dispatcher: "Who are you talking to, ma'am?"

Caller: "A guy that just got egged, too."

      Dispatcher: "Ma'am?"

      Caller: "Yeah?"

Dispatcher: "Tell him not to go after anyone."

Caller: "Oh, he's not, he's not."

      Dispatcher: "OK."

According to a police report, a sheriff's deputy responding to the egg-throwing report saw a man driving away fast from the area.

Unaware that anyone had been shot, the deputy stopped the man and spoke with him. The deputy then told the man to stay where he was while the deputy checked the egging report, Marion County sheriff's Capt. Phil Burton said.

"When (the deputy) came back, the individual was gone. And it is that person ... that we are looking for now," Burton said.

The sheriff's department said it is looking for a white man who is in his 30s and is 6 feet tall. He was driving a red, full-sized pickup truck with a white stripe, the department said.
