Funeral Held For Boy Killed In Retaliation Shooting

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 15-year-old boy who was killed in a shooting over an egg-throwing prank was remembered at his funeral Friday as someone who was kind, looking forward to getting his driver's license and loved playing football.Relatives and schoolmates packed Trinity CME Church for the funeral of Brandon Dunson, who was fatally shot on the night of July 24.
Police said Dunson was with a group of teens who were throwing eggs at vehicles on the 7400 block of Rockville Road. Authorities said they believe the driver of a truck that was hit shot Dunson and Michael Dyer, 17. Dyer, who was shot in the leg, survived.No arrests have been made.Dunson's football coach at Ben Davis High School, Tom Allen, said Dunson loved the sport."He just wanted to be a (Ben Davis) Giant. Couldn't wait to be a Giant," Allen said.The Marion County Sheriff's Department said it believes the shooter is a white man who is in his 30s and is 6 feet tall. He was driving a red, full-sized pickup truck with a white stripe, the department said.
