Samantha's House -- Miracle Makeover 'Day Of Giving'

She's recovering and Indiana is giving. A young girl paralyzed by a car accident is reaching out to you today.

The Samantha's House Foundation is on a mission to raise enough money to build her family a new home.

People who want to donate can call 926-1111, or visit the Samantha's House Web site.

The Allen family makes do right now in a smaller home, not equipped for their daughter Samantha's special.

The family struggles to maneuver Samantha though the rigors of daily life.

The 10-year-old is facing life full steam ahead even if narrow doorways keep her wheelchair from moving forward in their Greenwood home.

Thanks to friends Michael Hunt, father of Emily Hunt and attorney Jim Keller, Samantha's House is off the ground after a groundbreaking this past summer.

Now with walls and the roof up, the foundation is in the process of building this modest family a bigger, more accessible home.

"Things will be voice-activated. She'll have an earpiece with a microphone. She'll be able to open doors, work the blinds, turn off and on the TV," said Shawn Sullivan, of C.P. Morgan.

The new home is happening with the help of homebuilder C.P. Morgan, Union Federal Bank and RTV6.

With your support, Samantha will be ready to move in by the holidays. A big part of the donation drive happens Tuesday, the RTV6 Day of Giving.

People who donate can get the official Samantha's House orange bracelet by coming to any Union Federal Bank branch. There's special reason to do it Tuesday.

"So today on the Day of Giving, we have decided to match sales proceeds for the entire day to give Samantha's House a financial boost," said Mike Newbold, of Union Federal Bank.

The bank committed that they will donate $3 for every person that buys a $3 bracelet.

There are three ways to donate. You can get a wristband at any Union Federal Bank. The first 200 will also get a Colts cheerleaders poster.

People who want to donate can call 926-1111, or visit the Samantha's House Web site.
