DANVILLE, Ind. -- Police on Friday arrested a restaurant waiter accused of stealing two customers' credit card information and using it to buy police equipment -- items that concern authorities because he has a history of impersonating police officers.Christopher Eads, 20, faces charges of theft, identity theft and attempted theft.Authorities said Eads, who was a waiter at the Mayberry Cafe in downtown Danville from August until this month, obtained the credit card numbers of two customers who used credit to pay for their meals.
Police said Eads used the numbers to buy police equipment from a Kansas company over the Internet. The equipment included handcuffs, emergency vehicle lights, police batons and uniforms.
