Man's Disappearance Baffles Police, Family

29-Year-Old Last Seen Jan. 12

POSTED: 6:22 pm EST February 1, 2006

Police say they're trying to determine what happened to a Plainfield man who has been missing since he left for work in the middle of January.

Harold "Brad" Hensley, 29, was last seen heading to his Indianapolis job on Jan. 12, Plainfield police said. Hensley, a married man who works as an audio-visual specialist, did not arrive at work, and his red 2005 Jeep Wrangler also is missing.

No activity has been recorded with his bank account or cell phone since he disappeared, RTV6's Linda Allen reported Wednesday.

"It's very frustrating because we don't have any clue as to what happened to him," Plainfield police Sgt. Jill Lees said. "We don't know if he just left the area of his own free will or if something did happen to him."

Police say Hensley was last seen leaving the Plainfield area Jan. 12 in a red Jeep Wrangler, similar to the one seen here.

Hensley's relatives say that since his disappearance, they've made several trips along the 30-mile route he would take from his Plainfield home to his east-side Indianapolis workplace. They said they've seen no signs of him or his Jeep.

"It's very strange. Hard to deal with," said his wife, Kristin Hensley.

Hensley's wife and his mother, Cathy Hensley, said they don't believe Hensley left intentionally, because he left behind many things that he loved.

"Somebody somewhere knows something, I'm sure," Cathy Hensley said. "They just have to come forward and let us know. We just want Brad home, and we want him safe."
