IPD Officer Arrested On Prescription Suspicions

POSTED: 6:03 pm EST February 20, 2006

An Indianapolis police officer was arrested at a local pharmacy Monday afternoon on suspicion of prescription forgery, authorities said.

Officer Mark Kuykendall was arrested at a CVS store at 3507 Kentucky Ave. Police said he had gone to the store to get a prescription filled, and a pharmacist became suspicious, thinking the form had been altered or forged, 6News' Ericka Flye reported.

The store alerted sheriff's officers, and Kuykendall was arrested after an investigation at the store, police said.

Information on what the officer allegedly was seeking at the pharmacy wasn't immediately available.

Kuykendall has served with the Indianapolis Police Department for eight years.
