"Something with the writing on the prescription caught the pharmacist's attention," said Indianapolis police Lt. Lloyd Crowe.IPD officials said Kuykendall had a valid doctor's prescription for Valium, but pharmacists believe the prescription had been altered, changing the number of pills to be dispensed to a higher number.IPD officials said Kuykendall had recently had surgery on both knees and both shoulders. He had also had a tumor removed from his foot. The officer has been off-duty because of the surgery. If forgery allegations are proven, he will not return to the force."We do know that he was dealing with some pain issues.
