Police have apprehended one of four men who escaped from an Indiana jail over the weekend and arrested one of their relatives on allegations that she helped them.

David Fields, 36, was arrested Monday at a Marion County motel.

Authorities said Fields, Jeffery Boggs, Robert Pickett and Gerald Perkins left the Jennings County Jail on Sunday night after breaking a window and cutting through a metal bar in one of the cells.

Police said the men climbed a barbed-wire fence and took off in a car that had been left for them.

Three of the escapees were still lose as of Tuesday morning, but police arrested the mother of one of the men.

Authorities said Monna L. Pickett, 64, helped the men by giving them money and clothes.

Jennings County sheriff's Maj. Jeff Jones said the men should be considered armed and dangerous.
