Man Seriously Injured In Supermarket Shooting

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was seriously wounded in a shooting at a Marsh Supermarket Saturday night on the city's west side.Police said a security guard shot Justin Axe, 18, after he allegedly tried to rob a woman at gunpoint in the women's restroom of the Marsh at Lynhurst Drive and Rockville Road.Officials said the security guard ordered Axe to stop, but he didn't comply. That's when the guard shot Axe.Police said Axe took off in a vehicle with two other men and a woman inside, but they were caught when they stopped in a Taco Bell parking lot nearby.Axe was listed in critical condition at a hospital on Sunday evening. Medics said he did not have a pulse and was not breathing when they arrived, but they revived him while on the way to the hospital.The woman police said the man was trying to rob was not hurt. The security guard was taken to the hospital complaining of chest pains.
