Investigators said Harris made a run for it as she waited to be put into a paddywagon. Investigators said Harris took the Officer Eric Reidenbach's car and then ditched it at 36th Street and Gladstone Avenue.Debra McKenzie said she saw that part of the incident."I just saw the police. I guess what they were doing was trying to catch her," McKenzie said. "They were running."The Indianapolis Police Department and Marion County sheriff's deputies mounted an extensive search, finding the car a short time after it was taken.Officials said Reidenbach's service revolver was in a bag inside the car at the time it was stolen, but it wasn't in the car when they found it.Police said they found Harris at about 7:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of Emerson Avenue. Authorities said Harris had the gun with her and was ordered to surrender at gunpoint."Her hand was in the bag with the gun, but he had her at gunpoint and she gave up," said Indianapolis police Sgt. Jack Simpson.Harris was very uncooperative as police caught her the second time and hauled her off to jail. The cruiser had minor front-end damage, but there were no injuries.Harris faces numerous charges, including resisting law enforcement, fleeing police, theft of an officer's car and theft of an officer's gun.
