Box Of Stolen Letter Rs Left At Police Department

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- A box of Rs that had been stolen from signs in Greencastle was found outside the city's police department Thursday morning, Police Chief Tom Sutherland said.Dozens of letter Rs had been stolen from signs of businesses and a National Guard post over the weekend."One of our officers arrived at the police department at approximately 7:20 this morning and found this box of Rs sitting on the front step," Sutherland told 6News' Norman Cox.
Police said they don’t know why the letters were taken from the signs or who was involved. They said they intend to dust the box and the letters for fingerprints before allowing the letters' owners to reclaim them.
