Police: Surveillance Camera Recorded Indy Bank Robber

POSTED: 7:48 pm EDT July 27, 2006

Police on Thursday released to the news media surveillance images of a man they said robbed a bank of more than $3,300 this week.

Authorities said a man with a gun demanded money from a teller at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 1036 Broad Ripple Ave. shortly after 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a surveillance camera in the bank recorded images of the man (shown at right).

The man might have left the area in a silver, foreign sports car -- possibly a Hyundai -- police said.

Anyone with information about the man can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
