Police: Drunken Woman Slammed Into Officer's Motorcycle

POSTED: 6:02 pm EDT August 5, 2006

A woman was arrested on Saturday after police said she struck an Indiana State Police officer riding a motorcycle.

Darlene Nader, 48, of Anderson faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated, felony resisting law enforcement and check deception.

Police said a car Nader was driving struck Trooper Anthony Emery as he patrolled at the intersection of George and 21st streets at about 2:30 p.m.

Police said the check deception charge stemmed from a previous warrant issued from Tippecanoe County. Nader was being held in the Madison County Jail late Saturday.
