Police Seek 2nd Man In Connection With Woman's Death

UPDATED: 3:50 pm EDT August 11, 2006

Indianapolis police on Friday said they were searching for a second man in connection with last week's shooting death of a local woman.

Police said Brian Strucks is wanted for questioning in the death of Debra Buchanan, whose body was found in a wooded area off North Richardt Street on the morning of Aug. 3.

Police said Strucks is known to be in the areas of Interstate 465 and Pendleton Pike and 38th Street and Shadeland Avenue, sometimes holding a "will work for food" sign.

Earlier this week, police said they were looking for Isiah Alvies, 17, whom they described as a person of interest in Buchanan's death.

Investigators believe Strucks and Alvies were together on the day Buchanan's body was found.

Buchanan was one of 14 people slain in Indianapolis in a seven-day period this month.

Police asked anyone who might have seen Strucks to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS.
