The picture’s not fake; in fact, it’s about as real as they come.
On Oct. 9, Alicia Atkins gave birth to her daughter, Nevaeh, via Caesarean section in Phoenix, as her husband snapped a rare image -- the unborn baby holding the doctor’s fingers.
"I just wanted to make sure I got the picture because it was so cool," said Randy Atkins, the baby’s father.
Alicia posted the picture on Dec. 26 after she gave a print of the image to Dr. Allan Sawyer, her doctor, as a gift.
"I’ve never captured that picture before," Sawyer said. "It’s really rare."
Alicia has her own photography company, A Classic Pin-Up, in Glendale, and told ABC15 that the image has had thousands of views on Facebook.
"I am in awe of this photo," she writes on her Facebook page. "Something to remember forever."
