Family members of three people who were shot and killed at an Indianapolis apartment say they can't understand how the person responsible could be so cruel.
Investigators said Monday that they intend to seek an arrest warrant for Ronald Covington, 27, (pictured, left) who they have identified as a suspect.
Miranda Wilson, 22, the mother of Covington's two children, was one of those who were killed Saturday at Scarborough Lake Apartments near 46th Street and High School Road.
Police believe she was the intended target. Detectives said Covington was arrested last year for domestic battery, but Wilson did not prosecute.
Kevin Simmons and Fredrick Harris, both 22, also died, police said. Jasmine West, 21, was wounded, but is expected to survive.
Yvonne Harris said her son was a good person who was enjoying time with his friends at the time of the shooting.
