Ashley was born and raised right here in central Indiana. She attended North Central High School, where she became involved with their Radio and TV Broadcasting program.

In high school Ashley became fascinated with weather and how it works. After graduating, she attended Ball State University, where she studied meteorology and broadcasting.

Ashley's voice may be a familiar sound to some of you. Ashley started her career as a radio personality at the Radio One stations, including WHHH, WTLC-FM and WYJZ.

After spending five years at Radio One, Ashley moved to Palm Springs, Calif., where she worked as a meteorologist for the ABC affiliate.

In her four years in Palm Springs, Ashley had the opportunity to experience and forecast monsoons, dust storms and even mountain snow storms.

"Living in Palm Springs was a great learning experience. My favorite part of being a forecaster is being able to research past weather events," Brown said. "Palm Springs is a city with amazing heat records. I enjoyed sharing those water cooler statistics with people."

Ashley is very excited to be back home in the Hoosier state. She is even more excited to work alongside Kevin Gregory and Todd Klaassen.

Ashley grew up watching Kevin and hopes to learn from Kevin's experience as a meteorologist. She'll be working alongside Todd during "Good Morning Indiana."
