The Delaware County Prosecutor's Office is investigating allegations of misconduct by former Muncie Deputy Clerk Misty Buck.
According to an audit just released by the State Board of Accounts, Buck failed to deposit all collections received.
Buck's duty as cashier was to collect all money, issue receipts and post records, auditors said.
The State Board of Accounts is demanding Buck repay $11,325.50 to the taxpayers of Muncie.
Buck was fired in February 2012 "due to a discrepancy in our cash register, along with an attendance problem," City Clerk Phyllis Reagon said in a statement.
Delaware County Prosecutor Jeffrey Arnold told Call 6 Investigator Kara Kenney that his office is investigating.
"Charges have not been filed yet, but we anticipate a decision this week," Arnold told Kenney.
