Homeowner On Lake Discovered Body, Police Say

Authorities said the body of a 22-year-old Indiana man has been found in Lake Keowee in South Carolina two days after he disappeared.Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said a homeowner on the lake discovered Brian Lewis Smith's body early Monday.Smith was from Anderson, Ind. Addis said he was on the lake in a paddleboat around 2:45 a.m. Saturday when he called a former girlfriend and threatened to kill himself.The paddleboat he had been using was found several hours later.Oconee County Emergency Management Director Scott Krein said divers, boats and a helicopter were used in the search for Smith over the weekend.
