Body Of Woman Found Nude In Alley

Police: Body Discovered Near Home Frequented By Prostitutes

A teenager riding his bike discovered the body of a woman behind an east side home Saturday evening, police said.

The body of Ginger Adams, 22, of Indianapolis, was found around 5:30 p.m. in an alley in the 800 block of North Grant Avenue, IMPD Sgt. Paul Thompson said.

Thompson said Adam’s body was nude when it was discovered behind and abandoned home frequented by prostitutes.

Adams had been arrested last month for prostitution. That case was still pending.

Police said there were no obvious signs of a cause of death. An autopsy is expected Sunday or Monday.

Friends and family members gathered Sunday to remember Adams, a mother of two.

"Whoever did this, step up to the plate. Don't be a coward. Be a man. Step up to the plate soon," said Jerry Adams, Ginger Adams' twin brother.

Family and friends of Ginger Adams gathered Sunday to mourn her death.

Her body was found less than five blocks from where IMPD officer Jason Fishburn was shot by a murder suspect Thursday evening.

Adam’s death, if ruled a homicide, would be the 13th killing in the city in the past two weeks.
