Police are investigating after two Greenwood boys said they were nearly grabbed by teenagers trolling their neighborhood in a truck. The boys, 14 and 15, told police they were walking home from the basketball courts in the Carefree North subdivision in the 1000 block of Leisure Lane just after 10 p.m. Sunday when a truck pulled up beside them. One of the men inside grabbed the 14-year-old by the shirt as the 15-year-old ran and hid in nearby bushes, the boys said. The boys told police there were three men in their late teens and a woman, also in her late teens, inside the truck. When the man who had grabbed him asked him how old he was, the 14-year-old answered with his age, and the woman told the man to let him go and leave him alone, the boys said. The boys later admitted to police that the men had accused the boys of yelling something at them."We are probably looking for the truck's operator for a battery investigation. This does not appear to be an abduction / sexual offense," Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox wrote in an email. The man was described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, shaved black or dark hair with a muscular build and diamond earnings. The truck was described as dark, possibly a Dodge diesel pickup with dually rear tires LED lights above both windows.Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
