If you’re an AT&T mobile customer, you could be eligible for a refund.

The Federal Trade Commission is providing more than $88 million in refunds to more than $2.7 million customers who had third-party charges added to their mobile bills.

The tactic is called “mobile cramming,” and led to 2014 settlements with AT&T and other companies behind the schemes.

The refunds represent the most money ever returned to consumers in a mobile cramming case, according to the FTC.

There were 72,276 total victims in Indiana who will receive $2.2 million in credits or check refunds.

If you’re impacted by the settlement, you should receive a credit on your bill within the next 75 days, and some customers will receive a check in the mail.

The average refund is about $31.

“AT&T received a high volume of complaints related to mobile cramming prior to the FTC and other federal and state agencies stepping in on consumers’ behalf,” said FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez. “I am pleased that consumers are now being refunded their money and that AT&T has changed its mobile billing practices.”

The erroneous charges were typically $9.99 a month for ringtones and text message subscriptions for things like horoscopes and love tips.

The FTC’s complaint alleged that AT&T kept at least 35 percent of the charges it imposed on its customers.
