INDIANAPOLIS -- While cars buzz around the track on Sunday, many people will also be listening to a scanner to hear their favorite drivers talk to their teams.

But renting a scanner on race day can cost you anywhere from $30 to over $100, and many people don’t know that you can get your own without breaking the bank and it’s pretty simple too.

You’ll need an Amazon Prime account to get yours before race day.

You’ll need a buy a radio and a programming cable. Make sure to choose “Same Day Shipping” at checkout and place your order before noon to be eligible.

Then head over to Jacob Mann’s website. He’s compiled a list of all the frequencies, downloads and the information on the program for you to download to your computer.

It took our Call 6 Investigates team about 15 minutes from start to finish. All you have left to do is make sure to have a charged battery and you’re good to go.

If you already have a scanner, the list of this year’s frequencies can be found in the official spotter's guide.
