INDIANAPOLIS -- With millions of Americans traveling by air this holiday season there will be nearly as many bags getting checked at the counters.

It’s one of the biggest mysteries of air travel – what happens to those checked bags once they leave your hand?

RTV6 got an exclusive look at the behind the plastic curtain and down the conveyer belt to see what really happens to your bag.

You’ll be surprised to hear that not every bag gets checked by a human.
