Suspect questioned by IMPD after pipe bomb case
Not enough evidence for arrest
INDIANAPOLIS - A suspect was questioned by police on Wednesday in connection with Tuesday’s pipe bomb case, police said.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called back to the 1200 block of Central Avenue on Wednesday after neighbors spotted a person of interest at the house.
When officers arrived to the house, the man voluntarily agreed to be interviewed by law enforcement.
At this point, the investigation continues because police said there was not enough evidence to make an arrest.
The suspect was released and police did not identify the suspect.
Police evacuated dozens of nearby homes before explosive experts detonated the pipe bomb Tuesday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
Few other details were released.
