INDIANAPOLIS -- A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars of panties from Indianapolis clothing stores was charged this week with 11 felony counts of theft and corrupt business influence.

Terry Antonio Benyon, 45, is accused of stealing hundreds of pairs of women's underwear from Victoria's Secret and The Gap stores at the Fashion Mall and Greenwood Park Mall. He's also accused in thefts from Dick's Sporting Goods and Steinmart.

In August, police released a surveillance video showing a man – prosecutors now say it was Benyon – stuffing fistfuls of panties into a bag at the Gap store at the Fashion Mall.

Police said he made off with 2,000 pairs of panties worth roughly $20,000 in that theft.

Benyon was arrested Monday and taken to the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center. As of Friday afternoon, he remained in custody.
